I am an Art Director and my more than 20 years of experience has given me the ability to direct projects from concept to completion. I have managed graphic staffs that range from one person to as many as ten staff artists. I establish an environment and atmosphere that encourages my staff to do their best work. I have designed procedures which insure that design quality is consistent in a daily production routine. I have organized digital graphics departments to function more effectively and benefit from clear guidelines when providing design solutions. I have used various computer hardware, operating systems and graphics software applications. My extensive career has enhanced my ability to learn new technology quickly.

Creative Director- Responsible for all aspect of daily company operation. Providing effective graphic arts solutions for visual communications to small businesses.

KUSI News Television, San Diego CA, Mar. 2000-Sept. 2003
Design Director- Supervised a staff of 5 Broadcast Artist. Responsible for hiring, terminations and scheduling staff. Maintained unix operating systems to meet daily graphics production. Worked with news department to minimize errors and improve communications.

Milwaukee Public & Educational Television, Milwaukee, WI, Oct. 1988-Oct. 1999
Art Director- Supervised one part time artist and one student assistant. Responsible for all aspects of on-air. Created all design elements for locally produced programs and promotions. Supported and enhanced underwriting with more efficient design procedure.

Creative Director/Partner- Designed graphics and animations (2D & 3D) for television stations and industrial clients. Worked with clients to determine most effective visual solution within budget and produced those products within deadline.

Cellomatic Graphics Department, NBC Channel 5, Chicago, Oct. 1985-Apr. 1987
News Graphics Production Designer- Created over the shoulder and full screen graphics for Channel 5 news shows. Redesigned procedure for weather graphics production which simplified process to meet broadcast deadline.

Art Director/Demonstrator- Created 2D and 3D graphics as demonstrations of software capability. Attended television trade shows world wide as demonstrator of graphics system. Advised research and development staff on features required for graphics software. Supervised and trained assistant artist on new graphics system.

The Weather Channel, Atlanta GA, Mar. 1982-Nov. 1983
Art Director- Member of start up staff as graphics supervisor. Earned promotion to art director and supervised a staff of eleven artist. Responsible for hiring, terminations and scheduling staff. Worked with meteorologists to improve weather graphics accuracy and quality. Cited by Broadcast Designer Association for art direction in seven staff awards.

Cable News Network, Atlanta GA, Mar. 1980-Mar. 1982
Lead Electronic News Graphic Artist- Member of start up staff. Designed and implemented a system for storing graphics in stillstore system which vastly improved reliability. Created over the shoulder and full screen graphics for news shows. Was responsible for training new graphics employees.
